After a night out at the clubs in the early 2000’s in Sydney, my friends and I would always end up at a place called Harry’s Café de Wheels. It was pretty much a food truck in Woolloomooloo that was world famous for making the best pies ever! They are still around and have a few more outlets now, however back in the day this was the one place to go to after a night out to taste the chunkiest pies in town. I remember I used to always get one called the “Curry Tiger”, which has a rich beef curry filling served with a topping of mashed peas, potatoes and gravy. Have tried to replicate this delicious treat in this recipe. At Woolworths or Coles if you check out their pie range, you cant beat the Garlo’s brand!
