Drawing from the novel’s portrayal of Bolívar, the piece traces the emotional contours of his last days: impulsive yet exhausted, proud yet defeated, unpredictable, and ill. The title nods to The Liberator's love for Bolero music, evoking a final dance with memory, legacy, and the quiet unravelling of power.
