Speedrun of Magical Hat for the Mega Drive in 29:57 This is a console run played on a Mega Sg done by me on 21/10/2020 https://www.speedrun.com/magical_hat Speedrun info: Beat the game, all 21 stages, in the fastest time possible Timer starts when hitting [start] on the main menu Timer ends when exiting the final goal on stage 7-3 - - - - - - 0:05 - Island One 2:56 - Island Two 5:26 - Island Three 10:36 - Island Four 14:46 - Island Five 19:40 - Island Six 26:34 - Final Stages - - - - - - I'm really happy with this run. When I first routed this speedrun back in May 2019 my first run was a 36:52 (quickly followed by a 33:28 and a 31:24) and since then I've had many different goals. For a long time I didn't even think a sub-30 would be possible but after re-routing various stages multiple times and discovering some very inconsistent time saves that only work when they want to, I got there Sub-30 was (and is) my final goal for this speedrun. 17 months is a long time to grind a game that nobody else runs (although I did take a major break from speedrunning this in between my 31:24 and 30:50 runs) I'm retiring it here but if anyone decides to pick this game up as a speedrun feel free to hit me up on Twitter (@EnhasaPoyozo) because although I don't have any intention of coming back to Magical Hat to improve on this time, I would still be well up for some races or something Anyways, enjoy.
