Hi there. In this video, I'm going to tell you all about rose gold. It's a really beautiful combination of gold and copper that lends a different touch to your jewelry. So rose gold is a combination of precious metals that's been rather popular for quite some time. Just like its name would indicate, it has a lovely kind of pinky rose glow. So here I have some three millimeter rose gold filled beads. By comparison, here are the exact same number of gold filled beads, and here are 10 three millimeter copper beads. And now you can see that the rose gold falls kind of right in between the gold and the copper. So the rose gold is made up of 75% gold, 22.5% copper, and just a little bit of silver, 2.5% of silver. And that's all rose gold is. It actually has the same gold content as 18 karat gold, but instead of adding a white metal, they just added the copper to give it this pretty color. And just to let you know, if you've ever heard of red gold, that's all gold and copper; 75 gold and 25 copper. And you may have heard of pink gold which is 75 gold, again, but only 20% copper and 5% silver. And it really is a pretty accent used in jewelry to just add a little bit of a different color but still have precious metals. And just for an example, here's a charm bracelet, and you can see on these two charms, they have a mixture of rose gold and gold. This one, the flower is rose gold and the stem and the leaves are gold. And on this one, the same, the flowers are rose gold, just to give it a bit of a different look.
