A troublemaker plants seeds of strife; gossip separates the best of friends. Proverbs 16:28 The words of a gossip are like choice morsels; they go down to the inmost parts. Proverbs 26:22 (NIV) Wrongdoers eagerly listen to gossip; liars pay close attention to slander. Proverbs 17:4 9. BEWARE OF FLATTERY. To flatter friends is to lay a trap for their feet. Proverbs 29:5 A lying tongue hates its victims, and flattering words cause ruin. Proverbs 26:28 In the end, people appreciate honest criticism far more than flattery. Proverbs 28:23 8. DON’T MAKE LOANS TO FRIENDS. The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is slave to the lender.
