DIY Bedroom, Board & Batten - Accent Grid Wall

After a successful downstairs bathroom remodel, and Coffee Table build...I decided to take on the incredible Board & Batten Grid Wall and don't regret it at all! I'll be making a video soon to discuss how to do the measurements as well as another video to show how I made the new bed frame. Let me know what you guys think! Materials: 1.) 4'x8' Sheet of 1/8" thick Tempered Hardboard Panel - Cover Wall Textures See my bathroom video if you'd prefer skim coating. 2.) 4'x8' Sheet of 1/2" thick MDF Board - Cut into 3" Wide 8' Long Battens Full video on spacing (if needed) to soon follow this video. 3.) Sherwin Williams Premium Wall & Wood Primer Interior Latex 4.) Sherwin Williams Emerald Matte Finish Paint - Peppercorn 5.) 120 Grit Sanding Block (Wood Putty) & 160 Grit Orbital Sanding Pads (Boards) 6.) AlexPlus Caulking by DAP - For seams between boards and walls. 7.) Brad Nails 18ga 1 and 1/2" inch - For Securing Battens and Hardboard 8.) Wood Filler DAP DryDex Plastic Wood X - For Gaps Between Boards and Brad Nail Holes. 9.) See video for any I missed! Tools: 1.) Tape Measure, Carpenter's Pencils and Baseboard Remover - Always nice. 2.) A Truck would be useful, but if not delivery or a friend is best. 3.) Skill Saw with Kreg Rip Cut or Table Saw - To Cut Down the Sheets of MDF into 3" wide 8' long strips for the vertical and horizontal boards. 4.) Multi-Tool and Jig Saw - Multi-tool to Cut bottom baseboard to make room for new baseboard and also either jig or multi to cut out outlets from hardboard. 5.) Orbital Sander - To quickly sand your boards, or you can use block sanders. 6.) Level & Stud Finder - To make sure you put a few brad nails into solid wood to hold and that they are straight and level! 7.) Liquid Nails Construction Adhesive - For Extra holding power to the wall for the boards and hardboard. 8.) Foam Paint Roller - Get a few sizes like 3"-5". Three inch good for battens and the 4' or 5" good for the middle/wall squares. Also good to get a paint brush for the "edging" I show in the video. 9.) Miter Saw - Optional as you could use a Skill saw, BUT I LOVE my miter saw. For cutting the boards. 10.)
