Bluff Point, marked by an automatic lighthouse of the same name, is located at the northeastern end of Klein-Gubal Island. It is separated from the larger Gubal Island by a short isthmus that is partially submerged during high tide. Bluff Point is part of the long Gubal Strait, which connects to the Gulf of Suez in the south. This dive begins at the northeastern tip of Bluff Point and follows the coral wall south towards the protected bay on the north side of Klein-Gubal Island. Strong currents push divers in a southerly direction, so it is advisable to stay close to the wall. Along the rounded tip where the dive starts, large Napoleon fish and turtles are often encountered. The wall descends to a depth of 35 meters and is deeply furrowed with canyons populated by dense groups of scorpionfish. Beyond the tip, towards the south, the wall becomes softer and transitions into a platform at depths of 15-20 meters, which extends towards the protective bay - a common anchoring spot for cruise ships. Large moray eels can be found on this small platform, sometimes even outside their caves. Upon reaching the interior of the bay, divers can swim to the center where a small wreck of a modern 20-meter-long ship lies at a depth of approximately 10 meters. This dive is enjoyable and not too challenging, making it suitable for night dives as well. At night, the wreck attracts schools of scorpionfish, Arabian angelfish, and mollusks, including unique species like the pheasant cowry. @omneiatauchenundreisen253 #divingadventure #redsea #paditravel #marinelife #ocean #wrecks #deepbluesea #goprohero10 #paditv #divingboard
