Date filmed: 25 March 2025 Time of recording: between 1720hrs to 1722hrs Towards: Joo Koon Train Model: Kawasaki Heavy Industries C151 (GTO-VVVF Variant) Train Run: 153 → 357 Depot of Origin: Changi Depot Final Destination Depot: Tuas Depot → Changi Depot Carriage filmed at: 1085 door A1/B1 area (No. 1 end) AM/PM/Full Day: PM Peak Service (from Changi Depot, Last Round Trip) This video features a Kawasaki Heavy Industries (KHI) C151, trainset 085/086, which is from Changi Depot (CHD), to serve the East-West Line for the PM Rush Hours, from EW14 Raffles Place to EW15 Tanjong Pagar stations, bound for EW29 Joo Koon. For the entire of the year 2026, I will be uploading backlog KHI C151s videos that I currently have, slowly releasing them day by day for nostagia purposes. Enjoy them while you can! This was one of the times where a KHI C151 was deployed onto a Late Night Slot from Changi Depot (CHD), although they are currently being restricted to peak hours only. As a result, it was almost inevitable that it would eventually swap out to an AM withdrawal slot. In this case, Trainset 085/086 swapped to TRN 357 on the Eastbound Trip and returned back into CHD after 1 Round Trip. But note that the entire train had only the emergency lights turned on with passengers being onboard. Very likely that the Train Captain forgot to turn the main aux lights on, which resulted in this and has happened on multiple instances. Eventually, the lights were turned back on by the Train Captain (TC) at EW15 Tanjong Pagar station. Strong Motor can be heard on carriage 1085 door A1/B1 area, post over-haul works which got its motor transferred from former carriage 1015 door A1/B1 area. Trainset 085/086 has unfortunately been retired from the entire NSEWL network, with it being last seen as Train Run Number (TRN) 311 on 12/9/2025 and is currently residing in the newly East Coast Integrated Depot for testing purposes. 📲 Follow me on socials!
