It's not a "bad" barefoot shoe per some review's words, it's just different. If you want a more minimalist ride then opt for the Xero Shoe HFS. If you're like me and enjoy a little more foot protection then the HFS 2 can be a good option to look into. Again, it really comes down to your individual preferences and it's kind of nice having two options that now contrast each other, in my opinion.
