In the latest episode of ART+TECHNOLOGY, we meet Daan Roosegaarde a Dutch artist who’s work aims to connect people and technology to improve our daily lives and spark imagination. He is founder of Studio Roosegaarde, which develops projects that merge technology and art in urban environments. With over 29,000 pieces of debris and junk orbiting Earth, they created the SPACE WASTE LAB to raise global awareness of this increasing issue. This has led to them working with the European Space Agency to capture the space waste and upcycle it into sustainable products, as well as a performance using large-scale LEDs shooting giant beams of light from earth which were tracking orbiting waste objects in real-time. Art+Technology is brought to you by Bloomberg Media Studios and Hyundai.
