Lao or Laotian Food is often overshadowed by the more touristy big sister Thailand, but much of the Northern region of Thailand and Isan has so much food influence from Laos. As we have never really showcases Lao food on our channel, today we headed out to Fairfield, about 45 minutes drive west of the Sydney CBD to stop by one of our favourite place to try Laotian food "Lao Village". The place is famous for their delicious fried quail, lao sausage, and lao style fried rice (nam khao). It was definitely in our Sydney Cheap eats radar, however due to recent global events, their supplier have increased their prices and such they had to increase their menu prices. However as Helmi mentioned in the video it was definitely something worth checking out, to get a rather delicious introduction to the type of dish Laos has to offer without traveling for now. We (Nick and Helmi) do Food and Travel videos every week so if you are new help us by punching that like button and consider joining our weekly adventure to support us on our adventures. ► Subscribe to our Channel - https://goo.gl/bAVAKc ---------------------------------------------------- Follow us on Social: IG - / nickandhelmi FACEBOOK ►@Nick and Helmi ---------------------------------------------------- This Episode Features Lao Village 29 Dale St, Fairfield NSW 2165 Dish we ordered: Laap (Larb) ລາບ Larb is a type of Lao meat salad that is regarded as the "unofficial" national dish of Laos.
