Track 6 from my album "Ascent" This song was an experiment at blending orchestral textures and electronic textures together. As a lover of both, I like combining them in different ways. In this track you'll hear the strings and voices accompanied by what sounds suspiciously like thunder and glitchy heavily effected percussion elements providing a driving force during the string and vocal build up. The name means heroic in latin, and why becomes apparent at the 1:56 mark. Syncopated string chords underscore a heroic melody by the french horns. Strings provide a counter melody during the second phrase and trumpets and trombones provide additional color during the final phrase. We quiet down for a choir moment with strings and woodwinds. The brass initiate a call and response portion between various sections in the orchestra before heading into a section which increases in speed every measure bringing us to the final moment.
