The new Grid-Eye module - People detection and counting in privacy sensitive environments
Panasonic currently develops the Grid-Eye module which integrates the 90deg Grid-Eye with a microcontroller which hosts the people detection and counting algorithm. Using the module development time for people detection application can be significantly reduced. The information can be used for smart building management like control of heating, windows and lighting. Furthermore the sensor output gives you information about the room usage so meeting room sizes can be adjusted to the actual needs.
