Wind Power in the Cold

In the last few days, as the Texas state electrical grid failed (ERCOT), there's been a lot of finger pointing in the media, Facebook, & the Twitterverse at the failures of renewable energy, especially wind turbines. Aside from ignoring the major failures of the natural gas plants and overall infrastructure, the relatively minor lapses in wind power losses didn't have to be that way. The turbines are spinning here in Minnesota, and I've seen reports from Alaska and Antarctica showing the same. Still, it doesn't diminish the hardship people are working through down there. Wishing the best of luck, and sending my thoughts and prayers to everyone suffering in Texas, or anyone facing power outages in these cold temperatures.
