Review: A Stay at Historic The Phoenix Hotel Yogyakarta - Handwritten Collection 🇮🇩 🛎️

When exploring Indonesia, you should not miss the amazing island of Java. Of course, everyone knows Jakarta, but there's so much more. We travelled by train from west to east. The nice thing about train travel is that you also experience the amazing scenery of rural Java. One of the historic towns we visit is Yogyakarta. There's a lot to do and see in this city, but it's also good for day trips. While in Yogyakarta, we stayed at The Phoenix Hotel, which is part of Accor's Handwritten Collection. The hotel was under the MGallery by Sofitel brand before. Although The Phoenix Hotel is 5 star hotel, there are definitely some things that should be improved. Especially the rooms could use a renovation. Other than that, the amenities are good, we love the pool, and the hotel staff are very friendly.
