As mentioned, I am allowing to skip unreasonable bosses, so that more content than just Wing Raptor then stuck on Karlabos. Level 2 Bartz is the strategy here instead of level 1 for several reasons. Like a standard LLG, you want to use Goblin Punch here because Bartz matches the boss's level. The level 1 characters also likely cannot survive. Siren's pattern 1. Silence/Slow/Haste 2. Cure/Blizzard/Libra 3. Protect/Sleep/Thunder 4. Form Change 5. Physical or Specialty 6. Same as above, but if you make it this far odds are the battle is lost. Preferred actions would be Silence since it doesn't affect Blue Magic, Libra, and a miss on Sleep because it would allow killing Siren before her first physical. Haste is almost certainly a loss because she'll get through her powerful physicals quickly, and your odds of blocking/surviving are low. Slow if it hits is also the same. Second turn would prefer Libra because it does not heal her and possibly require an extra Goblin Punch. Blizzard is a loss because 48 HP is not enough to survive. Sleep miss is good because it does not reduce the Goblin Punch that comes after like protect. a Sleep success is almost certainly a fail. Protect is also acceptable, but does require a little luck to survive a physical. Thunder is a fail because 48 HP is not enough to survive it. If Protect happens, you then need to hope that you survive the physical attack. Shield block at this point of the game is extremely low, so don't count on it. There is some random variance on enemy damage. Siren's attack is 14, but the game can roll slightly higher. Bartz has 3 defense worth of gear equipped reducing the attack to 11. Siren's attack multiplier is 4. The attack must low roll if shield doesn't block it because the minimum damage for this is 44. The amount of attack that can be added is from 0--Attack/8 truncated down, so for Siren either 0-7 for +0 or 8-14 for +1. This makes surviving the physical hit a 50/50 chance because there's a 50% chance it rolls as a 14 attack hit and a 50% chance of a 15 attack hit. Theoretically, level 1 might be doable if you can find an RNG seed where she never hits Slow/Sleep, never uses Bolt/Blizzard, and instead of Blue Mage you go with Knight and spam guard to survive the undead form. If you can run her out of MP like that, then you've won as long as you brought enough potions to heal from poison damage. Level 2 Bartz or level 3 Faris could use the Knight strat too, and they do have the HP to survive a damage spell at that level, but any Slow/Sleep hit is a fail, so it's a lot less likely than Goblin Punch. Rules: Solo Character (Only applies to boss fights) Lowest Reasonable Level No Rod Breaking, Ninja Scrolls, or Gil Toss(Main Game only) No Player induced death/petrify status. Enemy inflicted against enemy is fine. No Level Manipulation(Exception: Aging status) No Blessed Kiss I will try not to use Hide during boss battles if I can, but no guarantee on it.
