Amity United Church of Christ The Fourth Sunday after Epiphany The Call to Worship – Psalm 15, NKJV L: LORD, who may abide in Your tabernacle? Who may dwell in Your holy hill? P: He who walks uprightly, And works righteousness, And speaks the truth in his heart; L: He who does not backbite with his tongue, Nor does evil to his neighbor, Nor does he take up a reproach against his friend; P: In whose eyes a vile person is despised, But he honors those who fear the LORD; He who swears to his own hurt and does not change; All: He who does not put out his money at usury, Nor does he take a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things shall never be moved. The Prayer of Confession Heavenly Father, we come to You again seeking forgiveness. We have failed to be meek, we have failed to hunger and thirst for righteousness, we have failed to be merciful. We have failed in so many of the things You have told us to do and to be. Help us in our weakness. Help us to not only be hearers of Your Word, but doers as well. In Jesus’ name, Amen. Apostles Creed I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and Earth: And in Jesus Christ His only Son, our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hell; the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into Heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God, the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen
