QUESTION: DOES THE DATE OF NOVEMBER 9, 1989, MEAN ANYTHING TO YOU? Well, that was the "OFFICIAL DATE" which historians mark as the day when THE BERLIN WALL CAME DOWN ... with the result that for the first time in 28 years, East German officials publicly declared that the citizens of EAST GERMANY were now allowed to travel freely and safely into WEST BERLIN to the sounds of GREAT REJOICING! PTL!! But now, interestingly enough, some 2500 years ago ANOTHER WALL CAME DOWN ... but NOT to "the sounds of great rejoicing" ... but to sounds of SHOCK, HORROR and GREAT GRIEF! For that was the day when the WALL OF JERUSALEM was BROKEN DOWN and the TEMPLE was literally BURNED TO THE GROUND! And isn't it true that, tragically and sadly enough, we can ALL personally experience or witness "BROKEN DOWN WALLS", as it were ... that is, things or circumstances which can cause us all GREAT GRIEF and SORROW in our personal lives, our family lives, in our churches, country and culture?
