On the night of February 18, 2023, Sergeant Chris Fitzgerald of the Temple University Police Department was shot and killed while courageously pursuing a suspect in North Philadelphia. At just 31 years old, he was a husband, a father of four, and a community leader who believed in building bridges and making the city a safer place for all.
