Machine Quilt A Palm Tree with Natalia Bonner

I've got a new YouTube video available for you now! I'm excited to share how I quilted the palm tree on this beautiful Starry Night quilt. This palm tree is just one small element of this stunning quilt pieced by Sondra, the piecing pattern designed by Sew Kind of Wonderful. I'm honored to be able to custom machine quilt her incredible quilt using various thread colors to bring out the details. In my latest video available on PNQ Academy, you can learn how I quilted this entire quilt from start to finish. It's like following me through a full day, or a couple of weeks, in the studio. I share all my tips and tricks so you can quilt with confidence too. In today's new YouTube video, let's focus on the palm tree. I'll be using Sew Fine thread in colors #451 for the background, #468 for the palm leaves, and #426 for the trunk. Marking the feather spines with my favorite Mark -B-Gone blue marker allows for precise quilting. I'm stitching on my trusty Gammill 22-inch longarm at 13 stitches per inch in stitch-regulated mode. Ruler work with my 4-N-1 ruler and ruler foot adds fun texture. The Wool batting from Quilter's Dream creates lovely loft and dimension.
