How to Make a Face Mask at Home in 10 Minutes|Easy Tips & Tricks| This mask has a filter pocket, and is the favorite amongst mask-makers and some health professionals. The size can be adjusted by moving the ear loops or by altering the length of the elastic. You can also print the pattern smaller (75% for up to 5 years, 85% for older children or small adult/teens) or larger (105% for XL sizes). Please subscribe and comment if you liked my video. Supplies you will need: Scraps of fabric Scissors Sewing machine Thread ¼" elastic x 14" per mask Pins Printer Iron Ironing Board Nose Wire (many options available to use) Optional items: Circular cutter Sewing Clips Cutting Matt Metal or Acrylic Ruler Instructions: Download the pattern using the link below. Print the pattern and cut out the three pieces. Fold the fabric in half and clip pattern pieces to the fabric. Cut out the three pieces. With mouth & cheek pieces pattern side down, fold each one up 1/4", press and sew along pressed edge. Place Mouth pieces pattern side together and sew along curved edge with 1/4" seam allowance. Place Face pieces pattern side together and sew along curved edge. Open face piece and start clipping/pinning mouth piece to it, pattern sides together, starting at the top, matching the seams in the middle, repeat on bottom edge. Clip the remaining cheek pieces to each side of the mask. The shapes will easily tell you which one is left and right. Make sure the pattern side is facing down. Sew around the entire mask along edges. Turn inside out and use knitting needle to poke the corners. Press/iron flat. Sew along entire mask with 1/8" seam allowance to finish. Ear Loops: Cut 7 1/4" piece of elastic and sew in circle. Loop of end of mask and fold material over elastic. Clip and measure to yourself to confirm fit. You can adjust this fold for different sizes. Sew in place. Nose guards/bridges: Sew an "L" shape at the top front of the mask. Insert nose bridge, and sew slot closed with small line of stitches."
