Archaeologists working at the site of the Brusselstown Ring in Baltinglass, Ireland have discovered the footprints of more than 600 Prehistoric Roundhouses within and between its two enclosures. The discovery was made a few years ago using both ground-based and airborne surveys. Now, a team have carried out test excavations at the site to find out more. So far this is the largest prehistoric nucleated settlement to be found in Britain and Ireland. They also discovered some surprising features during this recent excavation work. #ancient #ancienthistory #megalithic ✨ IN THIS EPISODE 00:00 Introducing the New Research 00:42 The Baltinglass Archaeological Landscape 01:55 Brusselstown Ring 06:25 Hillfort Types ✨ JOIN MY CHANNEL / @megalithhunter ✨ FOLLOW ME ON SOCIALS BlueSky: @MegalithHunter.bsky.social ✨ RELATED VIDEOS Ancient CURSUS Complex Revealed By LIDAR In IRELAND • Ancient CURSUS Complex Revealed By LIDAR I...
