Description: On Sankranthi morning, villagers prepare a special offering called Palamiche. Freshly harvested paddy (rice), milk, jaggery, andjaggery, and sometimes sesame seeds are cooked together. This sacred food is offered to village deities, Goddess Yellamma/Pochamma, and also to cows and bulls, thanking them for supporting farming throughout the year.
