Triangle Wave VCO Core Part 2: Breadboarding and Troubleshooting Exploring Analog Audio Synthesis, episode 9 Part 1 presented a design ov a triangle-wave core for a voltage-controlled oscillator. In part 2, we build it up on a breadboard, fixing at least half a dozen bugs as we go. This pair of episodes brings together many threads that we've followed in the last couple of months. Our oscillator uses a current source, regulated by a bandgap voltage reference. It uses an SPDT version of a saturated BJT switch. It incorporates a current mirror and an op-amp integrator. And our component selection runs through a bunch of the calculations from our earlier episodes.
