(SBS Transit) Scania K230UB Euro IV (Batch 2, SBS8232X) - Service 69

Welcome onboard the Scania K230UB! These buses were introduced in 2006, forming part of the bus fleet renewal for SBST, along with the Volvo B9TLs. They have been criticised for having a shoddy bodywork and shaky SMC Transit doors, as well as their jerky engines and boring appearance, especially since a total of 1100 buses were purchased! The Euro IV buses have Denso aircon, which can be cold or weak depending on the bus. They feature a brown interior, which has been described as 'dull and boring' by bus fans. Another issue with the buses (especially the later Euro V) was that some buses got noisy radiators, which can annoy customers a lot! In this video, we take SBS8232X on 69, a Batch 2 Euro IV KUB. This video was taken from Bedok Reservoir Road to Tampines Ave 5. This bus was driven by a friendly BC uncle, who gave the bus some quick accleration.
