ATS: Cruising Texas 7: Lufkin to Waco

This is the seventh trip of 15 in the ATS "Cruising Texas" event in which we deliver cargo to different cities in the Texas ATS DLC, using external contracts. Minimum distance for each job is 100 miles. The 178 mile trip is to take a container of fireworks from the Lufkin Walbert distribution centre. This is a short way inside the northern end of the Lufkin ring road. It is 08:04 on a sunny morning as he sets off. He turns left onto Spence St then left onto Ellen Trout Drive (US-69). The Ellen Trout Zoo is at the corner, so maybe we were on Martin Luther King Jr Blvd. We head west less than 2 miles and then turn onto the western edge of the Lufkin ring road. This is John Reddit Dr (SR-287). The ATS map compresses the IRL map here, as in ATS we proceed halfway down the western edge of the ring road and turn right onto SR-94. This should take us out west and SW to Groveton. Instead, we are following the track of SR-103 12 miles before it ends at onto SR-7. The SR-7 trends roughly west through a bit of a forest (IRL the Davey Crockett National Forest). Some farmhouses with longhorn cows represent Crockett. The road crosses the Trinity River, then comes up to Centerville. It is on the eastern edge of the I-45 which we cross. The SR-7 continues west to Marquez where the road crosses US-79. It passes a turnoff to a Fossil Fuel site down Willow Creek Road. There is also a turnoff to a Grand Pastures feedlot a little further along. Eventually SR-7 ends after we have been on it for 132 miles at US-77. This goes 18 miles NNW to the SE edge of Waco. On the way, the US-77 passes a shortcut to US-35. At a roundabout, it turns onto La Salle Avenue. We however get onto Valley Mills Dr which goes westish under US-35. We turn left onto Bagby Avenue, and left again into a large shopping centre. It takes a little while to park out the back of the Walbert store due to too much reversing. We finish at 12:26.
