Montreal West Island 1995-1996 - CN Electric Commuter and classic CN, CP, VIA & AMT trains

The video starts out with the evening rush hour on the Deux-Montagnes Sub at Mont Royal Station, in May 1995. This line was still operated by CN with vintage Box Cab electric units built between 1917 and the mid-1920's, along with 1950's era Steeple Cab Electric locomotives and self propelled EMU coaches; just to add some vareity, some of the trains were pulled by CN GP9RM's. After capturing the evening rush, we see VIA 601 leaving Montreal for Northern Quebec with the typical consist of VIA FP9s before the video cuts to some pictures from the winter of 1996. Afterwards we head west to Beaurepaire, where we lived at the time and enjoy some action on the CN Kingston Sub and CP Vaudreuil Subs, which run parallel across much of the West Island. The remainder of the clips were mostly taken at Beaurepaire and feature a mixture of CN, CP, VIA and AMT trains. The CN trains have a mixture of old MLWs, GP40-2s and SD40-2's, along with a few GE Dash 8's and EMD SD75Is. The CP trains feature the ubiquitous SD40-2s, along with a handful of MLW and leased locomotive. The VIA trains are powered by F40's and the AMT Commuter trains have their typical FP7, with the old former CP Bi-Level and single level coaches.
