Gekirindan (Arcade, 1995) Completed No Deaths, 1CC - Ship 2C [4K]

It's been quite a while since I've added any new replays here on my channel! Let's fix that today with...Gekirindan; a Taito vertical shmup I recently learned. The game is pretty short, with an ALL clear taking less than 20 minutes. There is no second loop to be unlocked, as well. The C type ship on 2 player side has an advantage in that it's shot power is very high. A few bosses don't even get to fire in some phases if you point blank them properly. As long as you don't die in a few key areas, getting the 1cc for this game isn't very hard with type C on P2. Although the game has some issues (like a few instances of 15-20 seconds downtime when nothing happens), I liked it while it lasts. The soundtrack by Zuntata is :chefkiss, very good. The standard in-game autofire rate is very generous; I didn't use external auto this run. Gameplay was recorded with wolfmame .277 using default settings.
