Fishing The Wild Arabie Dam For Aggressive Largemouth Bass!!!!

This 3 day adventure bring us to a dam called Arabie. This is where we spent a few days on the water trying to catch some giant aggressive bass that this wild dam in South Africa has to offer. The adventure for the two of started the minute we had planned this 3 day bass fishing trip. The nerves tinging and excitement building, it was finally the time to get all the bass fishing gear in the boat for this 3 day adventure out at this wild dam. Arabie Dam, also known as Flag Boshielo Dam, is a popular water reservoir and recreational spot on the Olifants River near Marble Hall in South Africa's Limpopo Province, known for it's fishing. with accommodation right at the waters edge it makes it a great place to go for those fishing trips. Arabie dam is also known for it's abundant Nile crocodiles which there are many. Arabie dam is also special because it held the World Black Bass Fishing competition in August of 2025. Arabie dam is truly a special place to catch Largemouth Bass. The drive before a fishing trip is a key element to having success on the water. Discussions about what and where you should fish will determine your every move on the dam. In this case we had 3 days on Arabie to figure out how to catch Bass. On arrival we where disappointed due to the chalet not being cleaned and left in a good livable condition. This wasn't the staffs fault at Arabie dam. The previous guests took the keys fishing leaving the staff unable to get into the room. After getting all that sorted out it was time to figure out how to catch bass. The day was late so the fishing was short. Still a good short bass fishing season on Arabie dam. Day 2 on arabie started at 5 o clock for the both of us. This was our goal to be on the dam for as long as possible so we could get a full days worth of fishing in and also a full day of trying to figure out how to and where the bass where going to be. This wasn't the case since we tried alot of areas and all we could catch where those smaller bass and accessional getting that bigger bit. Day 3 was the day where we shot over to the dam wall of Arabie to try and catch some bigger bass that we saw. The morning season was successful, us catching two swimbait bass and many Umbrella rig bass. After day 3 was done we had to head home and finish our adventure out at Arabie dam.
