In this #EVClub, Huaqi (Kate) Su presents her work on "Characterization of brain-derived extracellular vesicles in Alzheimer's disease." Using their rigorous method for EV separation from brain tissue, the groups of Laura Vella, Andrew Hill, and Gavin Reid profiled and studied lipid profiles in AD. The session begins with a conversation between host/moderator Kenneth Witwer and Andrew Hill, revealing Prof. Hill's journey into the world of EVs and the brain, or "from Breaking Bad to the Presidency!" Dr. Hill reflects on his time as ISEV President and announces the start of a new ISEV journal under his Editorship, the Journal of Extracellular Biology. He then introduces Dr. Vella, Dr. Reid, and Kate Su. Following Kate's presentation is a discussion of diverse topics with the audience.
