From the producers of Channel 4's "The Tube" comes what is supposed to be ITV's answer to "Top of the Pops". It's the hottest nightclub on the telly, The Roxy! Presented by David "Kid" Jensen and Kevin Sharkey, this series used a weekly chart distributed by Satellite Media Services, produced by Capital Radio and compiled by the Media Research Information Bureau (MRIB). You could hear "Kid" count them down every Sunday afternoon from 5pm, in competition with BBC Radio 1's own chart show. As was referenced in an earlier upload, episode 14 is missing for reasons unknown to me. However, I can recap what happened the week before thanks to a fansite (please correct me if you've seen the episode). Last Week: Studio Performances: Depeche Mode - "Never Let Me Down Again" Jonathan Butler - "Lies" T'Pau - "Heart and Soul" M.A.R.R.S. - "Pump Up the Volume" Black - "Wonderful Life" Level 42 - "It's Over" Videos: U2 - "Where the Streets Have No Name" Fat Boys - "Wipe Out" Rick Astley - "Never Gonna Give You Up" Guests: Fat Boys (by satellite from Florida) This week: "Britain's favorite pop show"? Where do they come up with these lies? New graphics, and a new entry. At #37, Curiosity Killed The Cat and "Free". At #24, the video to "Hey Matthew" by Karel Fialka. At #11, Johnny Hates Jazz and "I Don't Want to Be a Hero", with a repeat performance from an earlier episode. At #7, Cliff Richard and "Some People" (from Episode 13). New title sequence is coming up, and it promises to be "Christine's revenge". Kevin Sharkey travels to The Countdown Club in Amsterdam to interview Mick Jagger. He doesn't like working out, neither do I. At #48, Mick Jagger and the "Let's Work" video. The Communards are at #26 with "Tomorrow". Level 42 are up at #14. Rick Astley is still at #1! Def Leppard want you to "Pour Some Sugar On Me" at #46, a new entry. Shakin' Stevens with a new entry at #51, the video to "Come See About Me". Saturday broadcast, no audio interference. This episode has not been previously uploaded. Matt Churchett gave me the link to his Google Drive folder, and you can download these for offline viewing: https://drive.google.com/drive/folder...
