However, he poses an even bigger threat than when you 1st fought him in MANY ways. 1st of all, all of his Pokemon still know Hyper Beam, but you can still exploit the down time if you're close to knocking the Pokemon out. But Gyarados has been made more terrifying with Dragon Dance, Earthquake & Thunder Wave. Make sure your electric type outspeeds the Gyarados & can OHKO it with a good Thunderbolt or something because if not, then Gyarados can get a SERIOUS power & speed boost from Dragon Dance & likely leave you unable to move with Thunder Wave & potentially 1 shotting you with Hyper Beam or Earthquake. While neither of his Dragonites know safeguard, that doesn't mean you should take them for granted as his 1st Dragonite, which evolved from 1 of his Dragonairs, shares Hyper Beam & Earthquake with Gyarados & Aerodactyl, he can also hit hard with Dragon Claw & Flametrhower. Especially if you get burned by the latter. But it DOES have a 4 times weakness to ice, so you should have a good chance for victory. But he replaced his other Dragonair with a Kingdra which has only 1 weakness: Dragon. But don't think it'll be an easy pick, because not only does it know Hyper Beam & Dragon Dance, but it also knows Ice Beam! And because Dragonite's the only Kanto Dragon type & you likely aren't using one from the Hoenn games, that means you better hit fast & hit hard, or else you're toast. He also has STAB coverage with Surf, but he'll be more likely to use Ice Beam depending on what you send out. Aerodactyl's moveset carries over Hyper Beam & Ancient Power while replacing Scary Face with Earthquake & Wing Attack with the never missing Aerial Ace. The 1 saving grace here is that he doesn't know Dragon Dance, but if Ancient Power raises his stats, you're more than likely screwed. As for his Dragonite ace, he has a more diverse moveset with Hyper Beam, Outrage, Thunderbolt & Ice Beam. While you can technically exploit his vulnerabilities, if you thought confusion would save you, you'd be wrong due to his Perism Berry. This is made worse by the fact that Dragonite knows Thunderbolt, so if you taught your water type Ice Beam, it's possible that it may get OHKOd before you can slay the dragon.
