Voice Acting & Narration: Steven Waters @bobablackfly602 What if Robb Stark Was Revived After The Red Wedding? Let’s explore the depths of it in the video. The small group of outlaws surrounds the ruined caravan they had just ambushed, their moods unusually somber. While normally a success like this would be met with cheers and whoops, especially since the group they had attacked were the hated Freys, none of them could truly feel exuberant after seeing what they were transporting. This column wasn’t moving supplies or weapons to one of their new castles in Darry or Riverrun; it was a parade formation, one celebrating their treason. At the head of the column was a dead rider, the Young Wolf. The Freys had spared no mockery on Robb Stark, sewing the head of his dire wolf upon his head. Behind him were the bodies of those who had fallen with him in the Red Wedding. Lady Stoneheart watches the dead, recognizing the faces of many of those who had fallen. Saints and sinners lying broken, those who had served loyally to the end. She dips her head in respect to those who had fallen and turns to her band of outlaws and nods. Harwin: She says to raise them. Thoros: My lady, please. The Lord of Light’s powers are not some tool to fulfill whatever whim you want. Your boy has passed, and though it grieves me to see how he has fallen, I cannot bring him back. Harwin: If your god claims to be a bringer of justice, then let him right the greatest wrong of this war. Let the wolf of House Stark rise up again. Thoros: Even if I could…his body is too far gone. He looks over at Robb and presses a hand on his chest. To raise him back would be unnatural. And then, he feels a warmth spreading from his breast. He shudders and recoils, wondering what it might mean. And then, he sees it, the Wall and the shadows beyond. They press against the darkness and threaten to spill from the very top of the Wall. But as the tidal wave of shadows threatens to spill across the land, he sees the figure standing defiantly. A man, or at least part of a man and part of a wolf. In his hands is the banner of House Stark. Thoros looks at the boy again, wondering if he had seen right. Yet there is no denying it. A vision from the Lord of Light. Slowly, he bows his head. Thoros: I will try…But I make no promises. Stoneheart nods and gestures for him to continue. Thoros leans over and places a kiss on Robb’s forehead, and begins to utter a prayer. Thoros: Times of pain and times of craving, and after all, let us resurrect the dead. We will wait and we will save you. Alive or undead. He continues to pray, kneeling over the body until he feels a faint growl. The priest scrambles back, looking as Robb’s chest begins to heave. The first thing that comes out of his muzzle is a low growl, too guttural to be human. And yet his mind remains his. Robb thinks back to his last moments. He thinks of the blade sinking into his chest. A dagger wielded by Roose Bolton. Then, he sees himself in a kennel, barking frantically before being filled with crossbow bolts by the men of House Frey. Another growl escapes his lips, and this turns into a snarl, sounding more wolf than man. The others all back away as they look at Robb. Some finger their swords or string bows. Yet Stoneheart orders them to stand down. She climbs off her horse and descends. When she is close enough, she spreads her arms out. Stoneheart: Behold, our leader against our foes. For those of you who dare to run with the wildest of wolves, here we stand. The snarl dies in his throat as Robb turns to find the woman who had once been his mother. Her face is maimed, her throat slit, and she looks as though she has aged two decades. Robb: Mother? Stoneheart: Yes, my son. It is I. She places a hand on his muzzle where Robb had once been human. She scratches it slightly and then pulls her son into an embrace. For a moment, there is silence, and then the shuffling of feet. Harwin is the first to kneel along with two other Winterfell men, followed by Lem Lemon Cloak, Tom of Sevenstreams, Jack be Lucky, The Mad Huntsman, and lastly, Thoros of Myr, who remains uncertain of what that boy truly is. When they have all bent the knee, Robb heads inside with Stoneheart. He is perhaps the only one who can understand her properly due to his sensitive wolf ears. Robb: So, is this truly all that is left of us? Stoneheart: The others are gone. Lost, bent the knee, or made prisoners. Robb: They are my bannermen… Stoneheart: Were your bannermen. Things have changed. House Stark no longer rules the North, just as House Tully no longer rules the Riverlands. Robb: Then let’s change that. He feels his anger starting to grow again as the loss of his kingdom hits him. The loss of his bannermen and the betrayal the Freys inflicted on him. He lets out a growl and shakes his head. #gameofthrones #gameofthroneswhatif #whatif #robbstark #redwedding
