What Citizens Can Do to Control the Trump Regime; What Are the Prospects for Success of Those Efforts (American Issues Take One). The hosts for this show were Jay Fidell and Benjamin Davis. The guest was David Larson. The discussion was: Our panel discusses the steps citizens can take to control the disruptions and damages that are being created by the Trump regime, including but not limited to: writing letters and op-ed pieces to the media; signing petitions; placing ads in the media; social media, video and audio reports and podcasts; email and text messaging; door to door discussion; media appearances; public protests; town hall meetings; filing and participating in lawsuits; running for office; supporting the Democratic party; supporting candidates and your state and elsewhere (how about Florida and New York to swing the House) who are running for office; organizing and joining cause and resistance organizations; and sending money to worthy candidates and organizations. We also discuss whether the resistance should cover the flood of issues and actions emanating from the regime or focus on just a few of those issues and actions. And we discuss the likely reaction of the regime and its supporters to these steps, and the likelihood that these steps will have an effect on future actions of the regime. The takeaway was: People are increasingly depressed and feeling powerless against the disruption and damage resulting from Trump's actions. It's important that we discuss what steps citizens can take to respond to these actions and hopefully have some effect on them going forward.
