"Supporting Climate Resilience in Lebanon" - Gender Analysis for the Forestry Sector

The “Supporting Climate Resilience in Lebanon” (SCRL) project is funded by the US Forest Service (USFS) and implemented by Lebanon Reforestation Initiative (LRI). One of SCRL’s main objectives focuses on analyzing women engagement in forestry related activities to ensure they, too, are at the forefront of good governance, ecotourism, agroforestry, rangeland management, forest fire management, and urban forestry. The gender analysis allowed identification of gender gaps in Lebanon’s forestry and agriculture sectors as well as the development of recommendations for initiatives, while defining the role of women in forestry-related activities.
