As everyone who tunes in to the Urban Gentry regularly knows, the now discontinued iconic Seiko SKX is my favorite dive watch. Naturally, I had to do a quick episode of Gentry In A Jiffy (GIAJ) to share my first impressions of the rumored replacement of the SKX007, SKX009 and even the SKX011! But this is no ordinary release, as it coincides with a 2019 rebranding of the entire historic Seiko 5 line of affordable watches. Why are Seiko doing this?
