Fairy Glen - Isle of Skye - Scotland | 4K | DJI Mini 3 Pro

Fairy Glen in Uig on the scenic Isle of Skye is a wonderful remnant of an ancient landslide, full of small, cone-shaped hillocks and mounds covered with grass, with a network of paths between them and a scenic lochan in its middle. There is a basalt, rocky tower called Castle Ewen rising over the pond, which you can climb and take amazing photos from its top, but take care, as the small plateau of this hill is surrounded by vertical drops and is not secured in any way. The view from there is incredible, though, especially to the south, where you can see cliffs of tectonic slide and a few waterfalls finding their way down that ridge line. Sides of some of these hillocks are covered by rowan trees, and their gnarly branches increase the magical feel of this place. To complete that fairytale vibe, there is a large stone fairy circle just below the castle. You can easily climb most of the hills there with convenient zigzagging paths, and you can spend a magical hour or two exploring this wonderful location. The car park is quite large and chargeable (it was £2 last time), but the road from Uig to the car park is narrow and full of potholes, so drive carefully.
