The Tomb of the Prophets is a large burial cave near the top of Mount of Olives identified by Jewish and Christian tradition as the burial site of Haggai, Zechariah and Malachi (cf. Mat. 23:29) The last Three prophets of the Bible in the Old Testament are located on the Mount of Olives. Where researchers believe the prophets Zechariah, Malachi and Haggai and the disciples are buried. A total of 50 graves were buried in this cave. This cave on the Mount of Olives predates Jesus by 500 years. A mysterious thing, there are Jewish tombs near the Mount of Olives, because according to Judaism, when the Messiah (Jesus Christ) comes from heaven to the world (Israel), he will enter Jerusalem through this way of the Mount of Olives. And because of the belief that God's righteous people will be taken to heaven at that time for that reason Jewish cemeteries are built on this site. Haggai 2:7-9 These three prophets taught the Israelites words of warning throughout their lives and faithfully completed God's work as true servants of God and are now waiting for resurrection.
