Spicy And Smokey Roast Chicken With Potatoes For the chicken 1 whole chicken Salt to taste Pepper to taste Garlic powder to taste Smoked paprika Cayenne pepper to taste 1 cup of chicken broth For the stuffing 4 slices of plain white bread 2 tablespoons of salted butter 1/4 cup of celery leaves and small stems chopped 1/3 of a red onion 1/2 teaspoon of celery salt 1/2 teaspoon of ground savory 1/2 teaspoon of dried sage For the potatoes 2 tablespoons of salted butter Salt to taste Garlic powder to taste Cayenne pepper to taste Smoked paprika to taste Prepare and season your chicken inside and outside. Make the butter onion mixture for the stuffing and break up the bread to add in your onion mixture. Add the onion mixture to the bread and mix well. Stuff the cavity of the chicken with your stuffing. Tie up the legs as shown. Add the potatoes and seasoning around your stuffed chicken and bake in a 325 degree oven for 2 hours and 5 minutes. Remove from the oven and cover for 1/2 hour and serve immediately with your favorite side. If cooked exactly as I did, it will be tender, juicy and tasty!
