Easiest Sourdough Pot Bread 1 cup of active sourdough starter (Found under my playlist - Bread And Buns) 1.5 cups of warm water 3.5 cups of all purpose flour 1 teaspoon of salt To a large bowl, add the starter the water and the flour (holding 1 cup back after mixing to work the gluten well. Add remaining flour and the salt. Leave the dough for a half hour and do the stretch and folds after watering the top of the dough first. See video for this as well as repeating process three times. line a medium bowl with a soft cloth serviette sprinkled with rice flour so the dough does not stick. Add the dough to the top of the lined bowl and tighten up the top of the dough as shown in my video. Leave to rest 1.5 to two hours. Pre-heat the oven to 4:50℉ with a cast iron pot or Dutch oven with the lid on. Once it has come to temperature, dump the dough out into the pot and give it a slice or two on the top as shown. Put in the oven for 20 minutes with the lid on and another 20 minutes with the lid off. You can also watch it periodically to bake it to your desired color (light or dark on the top). Darker will always give more flavor (in my opinion). Allow to cool before slicing (if you can wait). I couldn't wait so it was still quite warm. LOL This is an amazing bread and is much better than most you will taste! Better also, than most bakeries; to be honest! So go ahead and give it a try! Give it a thumbs up and subscribe!
