This was done on Version 2.2. NRI - No Regular Items. ie, no accessing the Items or Quick Pockets commands inside or outside battle. Also, no Auto Phoenix/Med/Potion armor abilities. Use command and Mix ovedrive are allowed. NS - No Summons. You can't summon except when forced to. (Exceptions: Forced Garuda battle in Besaid, forced fights against Isaaru.) NDG - No Dropped Gear (from bosses). NTNGNFB - No Threaten, No Gravity attacks, No "Full Break" Skill. NNE - No [No Encounters] auto-ability. NTQ - No Trio of 9999/Quartet of 9 Mixes. Alongside with those restrictions, I will also do a progression lock where you will not be allowed to do postgame stuffs (Cavern of the Stolen Fayth and beyond) before beating BFA & Yu Yevon. This is to ensure BFA is at its intended difficulties. This it the first boss / encounter that you can feel directly changed because of NDG. Normally, you can equip Slowproof dropped from Chocobo Eater and use it to tank Toxin, but with NDG, that option is not available. You can buy the Wakka's Slowproof armor from O'aka for about 2k gil, but turns out Slowproof are not neccessary for this fight. Kimahri is the best character to tank because he has Dark+Poison proof armor from the Mushroom Rock Chest. However, you'll probably need some agility to make it not miserable, because he will be slowed for the entire battle after all. My Kimahri has 13 agility, which right now he was the fastest character in the entire party, so it's not that bad thankfully. One slight problem is that he had 1.4k HP, second highest of the party, and you need to lower his HP asap before Toxin hits. I found that putting him in the middle from the start is the best way to do it, the main body will always has a turn before Toxin, and you'll also need to not Power Break early to bring Kimahri's HP low enough. After the main body attacked, now you can bring in Auron to Power Break. After that, you want Tidus, Wakka, Auron, and Yuna hasted, that's our main party for this fight. Wakka's task mainly will be to silence the head, while Tidus focused on cheering himself and Auron 5x. Meanwhile Auron can kill one of the arms with his Piercing/Strength+5% to reduce the incoming damage. After 5x cheers, now we can start on the offensive. With 5x cheers, Auron will bring the arms very low with 1 attack, so we also need Tidus to help taking down the arms. We also need to time killing the arms just after the main bodies' turn, because it will regenerate again after 3 turns. We don't have enough firepower to bring it down before it will regenerate the arms again, but we have the fight under control pretty much at this point. The key thing here is make sure that Kimahri is there to tank Toxin everytime, otherwise if one of our 4 core party got slowed, it's pretty much very difficult to recover, even if you get to recover it will prolong the fight and Yuna could run out of MP at that point.
