His father passed on a few years ago, but Balu, as he is fondly known to the locals, continues with his family to serve tasty, traditional non vegetarian Malenadu fare. The food here is simple and homely, I discovered when I made a surprise visit to this small eatery on the Chikmagalur-Mudigere road. The menu here is short and focussed, the sort that assures diners of a wholesome, flavourful meal.
