In this thoughtful yet entertaining talk, Dickie reflects on the partnership that changed the 60’s TV experience and gave voice to a generation, without meaning to do so. They were accidental activists, challenging the status quo beginning what we now know as ‘late night’ television. One of the icons of the 60's and 70's, Dickie Smothers and his brother Tommy (known as the Smothers Brothers) were instrumental in shifting the rules around many topics now allowed to be viewed on TV. He's now launching a solo career, at the ripe young age of 70+. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
