During this video I cover the original symptom of this GE refrigerator - Temperatures not as low in the refrigerator. Food in freezer is remaining frozen at the bottom of the refrigerator and thawing at the top. A large mass of ice is found on the rear wall of the freezer. Further investigation reveals evaporator coils are covered in ice due to the defrost system failing. I then replace the High Limit Thermostat (due to being open circuit) and replace the Defrost Heater. These parts can be found in the WR51X10055 Defrost Heater Kit. The refrigerator has been symptom free since making this repair (several weeks).
