I would certainly recommend the Euro Tunnel Le Shuttle experience. The crossing is very simple and fast and is certainly better than travelling via a Ferry; particularly on a very windy day! The tunnel cost 10 billion pounds to build. Opening in May 1994. It carries at least 21million passengers each year and is certainly an excellent experience. Travel time is 35 minutes via the tunnel and which is massively improved on the Ferry alternative which takes 90minutes.
