Please read: Before I get into describing this video, here's some information regarding the overall quality of this video. If you haven't seen my message in my community feed, I have run into a problem of my own. I thought that setting my camcorder to Highest Quality (I'm assuming 1080p) would improve things but it's made my videos - especially the ones at Abergavenny on the 24th look very fuzzy and blurry. I have since reverted my quality settings back to how it was, 720p which isn't ideal, then edit and save it in 1080p. Another thing, about the video editing, I have noticed some lag on videos edited through Movie Maker, so I've decided to try another software which should look less laggy but to also sharped video quality and add a bit more saturation to the colour and reduce brightness on some clips. I have decided on DaVinci Resolve, and a re-edit of this compilation is in the works but there is a really annoying lag due to the computer not supporting it. Once that gets sorted out, I'll finish the re-edit and upload that. But for now, I'm uploading this version edited through Movie Maker, saved at 1080p though that hasn't resolved the blurriness. So a million apologies for you viewers watching a video with very subpar quality. Anyway, on with the description, I have made my return on the railways after 4 years on the 21/23/24th to catch the Midland Pullman HST set working the 3-day Winter West Highland Pullman railtour from Swansea to Fort William and return. The HST set looked absolutely incredible in the blue Pullman livery, and sounded amazing with the VP185's - I'm lead to believe that this was a former East Midlands Railway set with powercars 43058 and 059 doing the honours. Along with that, I have added clips of some extra workings that happened in sort succession with the railtour. Those including Network Rail's Flying Banana on a Derby - Derby working with a nice wave from the driver, a TfW DVT + 67 set working a service from Manchester Piccadilly to Cardiff Central, and a steel train with the first of DB's re-geared 66's heading to Margam (First time I've caught one of those 66's). Filmed at both Penpergwm and Abergavenny. Due to the construction of Abergavenny's new bridge, part of the car park is out of use making parking really frustrating at times. I wanted to catch 5Z31 but missed it as parking was a nightmare. It also didn't help that it was running early, but never mind. I caught the main events though. Enjoy, and apologies again for the quality issue which I am working to resolve.
