X-Files Haunted House Ambience | Distant Thunder, Muffled Chrstimas Oldies Playing in another Room

On a cold stormy December night in 1998, special agent Fox Mulder and his partner agent Dana Scully meet at an abandoned Mansion. He explains that during Christmas of 1917, a young couple living in the house agreed to a sluislide pact one unaliving the other and the remaining one committing sluislide. He explains that they could not stand the thought of being alone after the other died and during the afterlife; they wanted to spend all of eternity together. Now, Mulder claims, they haunt the house every Christmas Eve. Despite her skepticism, Dana joins Mulder in this ghost hunt. And soon after entering the creepy old house, the haunting begins. Creaking floor boards, slamming doors, footsteps, knocking, clear signs of the supernatural. After removing the floorboards, Mulder discovers two skeletons that appear to wear the same suits as the agents. Slightly spooked and ready to leave, they also discover that they are stuck in what seems to be an endlessly repeating room. Yet somehow the two get separated, and soon after they encounter the ghosts. The footage in this video was taken from the nostalgic 1998 TV show The X-Files (Season 6 Episode 6 “How the Ghosts Stole Christmas”). The soundscape consists of distant thunder and inside wind noise, and slow muffled Christmas songs from the 1940s and 50s with added reverb and delay.
