(4K) Summiting the highest mountain in Cangas del Narcea: Cueto de Arbas 🐝🐂⛰🥾

In this hiking trail in Asturias, we visit the highest peak in the municipality of Cangas del Narcea. This a not-so-well-known area in the west of Asturias. This is a very short linear trail (3.5 km one way). The route is analogous to the local path with code SL-AS 20 and has an elevation gain shy of 500 meters. The hike starts in Puerto de Leitariegos, very close to the border between Asturias and Castilla y Leon. It ends in Cueto de Arbás. This is a route very easy to follow. It will take us to one of the peaks Asturias with an altitude above 2000 meters which happens to be very easy to summit. During the trail we will pass close to a picnic area, a beautiful lagoon and we will enjoy incredible views from the top of the peak. This last one is perhaps the most interesting point of the hike.
