ಆಲೂಗಡ್ಡೆ| ಬದನೆಕಾಯಿ ಪೋಡಿ Outdoors has always been our favourite. Our roots are in nature, and we naturally find ourselves going back to it whenever we get a little time. Instead of taking kids to malls, we truly believe it’s important to take them closer to nature to feel it, touch it, and grow with it. This time, though, it was extra special because we cooked outdoors, something we had never done before. Preparing our most loved winter companion, the spicy and comforting Pody, turned into a beautiful experience. We usually make it with potato, brinjal, and dhegujje (beruhalasinakayi). Quick to prepare, using very little oil, and ready in just five minutes — this simple snack is full of flavour and warmth, making it one of our absolute favourites. 🌿✨ RECEIPE : Take upma rava in a bowl and add red chilli powder, salt, turmeric, a spoon of jeera powder and coriander powder, a pinch of hing, and a little huli powder for tang. Mix everything well with the rava. Cut the potato or brinjal into long slices. Lightly wet the slices with water and coat both sides evenly with the spiced rava mixture. Heat oil on a tawa and shallow-fry the coated slices until they turn golden and crisp on both sides. In just a few minutes, your delicious, crispy Pody is ready to enjoy. ✨
