Satakunnasta - Sikses parasta (In English)

The Satakunnasta - Sikses parasta –project is an advocate of locally produced food and increases awareness of food from the Satakunta region. We support the growth of the whole food chain from Satakunta by informing people about the purity of the foods from our province, the authenticity of their flavors and responsible local production. Our goal is to enhance access of local products to different marketing channels and to reinforce the networking of operators in the industry. Sikses parasta brings together operators of the food chain, from primary producers to the table. Our common goal is to make Satakunta the number one province in food production in Finland. That’s why we produce and share information and bring together operators from different sectors whose common know-how will make Satakunta’s food chain grow into a winner of the future. Partners in the project include Satakunta’s key organizations developing the food industry. Funding comes from European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development through the Satakunta Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment (ELY Centre).
